Your videos help me with pretty much all of my maintenance Tamsen so thank you for them. It's not the matter of rubber internals or not, I just can't actually get my socket into the block... My sockets have too much girth...damn them

Yeah, cheap sockets have walls that are too thick.

I used the Halfords set socket yesterday and had to use the masking tape trick which worked a treat at lifting the plugs out.

Good quality tools are a lifetime investment, buy cheap and not only will you have to buy again, but bad quality tools can break at a critical moment or give you access problems or round off the heads of the fasteners, that is why the Halford professional sockets sets and ratchet spanners are such good value
