The latest project in my "get them back out and being used again" mission! The bolt for the handcrank arrived in the post this morning, so the crank is now fitted. A little more final fettling and oiling and the machine will then be off to begin a fresh working life with it's new owner on Friday. A very pretty looking machine it is too.

I had to find a bobbin winder, base and case, and the bolt for the handcrank (which I already had).

Lovely machine, What kind of thread did the bolt use, something unique.

It's a special shaped bolt with both a flat screwdriver slot and a hexagon head. Not sure what the thread was but I'd guess at a Whitworth.

She loves these hill walks Mike. She finished her breakfast when we got back in and is now curled up happily in her bed.

We're looking forwards to introducing the new dog to longer walks in the hills. He's doing well on the lead, so won't be long.
