for the tps mod as I've seen it described, you'll aim to have your idle at 1200 or so.
I tried that for a while, then the winter started coming in, so I upped it to 1400 with the adjustment.

Without wishing to sound like a divvy, is it easy to up the idle on the carb'd version? Is it the black adjuster on the left hand side (as you sit on the bike)?

Just tried to adjust the idle speed. The adjuster is solid! Won't adjust. I guess it is because it hasn't been touched for a while. What do I need to do to loosen it up? Please keep it simple. Bike is a '99 SX

I'd try some WD40 and let it soak in for a while. It "should" twist quite easily.
