not with a standard can - the fuel injection will compensate up to certain extent. I believe it will adjust for variations up to +/- 15% approx

just makes it 'burp' or 'cough' occasionally, most noticably when shutting off the throttle in a hurry

try it - you can always put the snorkle back in

Let me ask a dumb question to. I'm looking at a way to give my bike more air, because I'll buy a Powercommander and have a custom map made to go with my full system. I know you can remove the snorkel, but I don't want to end up with a bike that consumes fuel like a SV1000. And I've read somewhere that removing the snorkel from thet 650 has this effect. So that's why I'm thinking on getting a 1000 snorkel and put in.

Is there anyone who has actually done this mod and is it worth it???

I've got a snorkle from an SV1000 and it hasn't affected the fuel consumption. Makes the bike feel like it revs easier, but then that could just be the Scorpion making it sound that way

To be honest I didn't notice any increase in fuel consumption with the snorkle out, so when summer comes it'll come out again

Knaapie, or anybody else knowing, how much is the Power Commander cost in holland?

I know someone who is going there, maybe he could bring one back for me .

The Powercommander can be bought for 304 euro's over here on the internet. With a group buy (which I set up) on a Dutch forum I even got a somewhat higher discount on the 337 euro retail.

Does that guy has Dutch address or something? If he has, you might want to order a Powercommander at a Dutch internetshop. Saves you even more money. But I must warn you that the Powercommander also has to be ordered by the dealers over here. So it could take a week for it to arrive. If you need a shipping address in Holland I'm willing to help if needed.
