I've got muc off and also the auto glym motorcycle degreaser and a stiff brush and that seems to to the trick when I can be bothered to clean it

WD40 and Mr Sheene as other people have mentioned are great for cleaning as well

Also I have one of those 5 litre garden pesticide pump up sprayer things I put some nice clean hot water into that and then use that to wash the bike off before I start, I find that easier than a pressure washer or a hosepipe the water doesnt blast out with such force but it has just enough to shift the dirt

I USE :

for my wheels I use wd40 as it coats them and makes brake dust/chain lube easier to get off, on my chain i use wd40 to clean it and PROFI DRY LUBE to lube it - no fling off and lasts for ages. to clean the rest of my bike I use auto glymn motorcycle cleaner to spray everything except bodywork then use a garden sprayer (5 litre one from B+Q) to rinse it off. I then do the tank with autoglmn super resin polish then finish it off with autoglymn extra gloss protection. I use autosol for all the metal work and then i give it a light coating with scottoiler f365.

may sound a bit too involved but I try to keep it as clean as I can.

Another MER user - top stuff and can use it on a wet or dry bike, incase you can't be asked to dry it off first. WD great and F365 for all year protection!
