It's also used pretty extensively in the marine industry.
Bloody good stuff is sikaflex.

If you're near the coast or a canal try a boatyard or a chandlers..... I know of some boats that are held together with Sikaflex..! Beware, it does go off quickly in the tube and I belive it has a shelf life. Be sparing when you apply it as trimming it after it has set is not easy.
If you can get to a boatyard you'll probably find enough in a discarded tube to fit a Fender Extender, use a stick to apply and a couple of clothespegs to hold the extender in place. Have a yarn and a cup of tea and the job's done!
Marvellous stuff...........

Cheers for the fast reply, I just went searching for 221 and found this:

"Sikaflex 221
This old favourite, now replaced by Sikaflex 291 for marine applications, is still available to order. "

So it looks like 291 will be fine too
Now just have to find somewhere that doesnt want to charge £10 postage on a £5 tube of glue lol
cheers

now if several of us could meet at a convenient boat yard perhaps we could share a tube before it goes off

I used araldite for mine, seems to have worked (ie, it hasn't fallen off yet)

I was going to use that too... But Sikaflex stays flexible when it's bonded (unlike araldite ) I just though it would help counter any potential vibration loosening etc
