I saw a stunning blonde parking attendant in Ealing this morning. Absolutely gorgeous. She looked more like a model in a parking attendants uniform.

DID YOU KNOW ? traffic wardens were originally intended to relieve police from the onerous duties of keeping trafic flowing, by ensuring that stupid parking did not block roads needed by Joe Public for access.
Initial metered zones were only close to certain Government Offices and places of public interest, like Palaces !

There were separate bays for 'bikes, marked quite clearly, MOTORCYCLES ONLY. I parked my sidecar outfit in one and got ticketed, back in 1960 (I trhink). Appeal lost as it was determined that a motorcycle with sidecar, (tax disc said motorcyle with sidecar) was not a motorcycle !! But a three wheeler.

And its been a battle ever since.

So the conclusion is that they should sack traffic wardens as they are now unnecessary!

Glorified modern-day tax collectors. And as with all historical tax collectors they are disliked by the public.

Sending cops out to hold their hand so they dont get beaten up is simply looking after you tax collectors. Catching a burglar/mugger/rapist never earns any money for local or cantral govt so why waste a copper on something that wont raise any revenue?

The African traffic wardens are a laugh if you get them in the right frame of mind. I'm not sure if my (poor) nigerian accent endeared me to them....or that was what actually scared them off

BTW....last week i noticed a couple of "big-wig" coppers with scrambled egg on their shoulders eyeing us up and making some kind of "assesment" it seemed.

Hope they decided we were ok and could be left alone.
