Now that I've bothered to do the sums, here's the results of the C'philly Jury...

Based on my average filling stop of 13.5 ltr (that's 2.95 UK gallons)

I was averaging 120 to the light - that's 37.2 mpg

now that I've switched to mainly BP Ultimate

I average 145 to the light - that's 49.1 mpg

Now where did I put my Anorak!

The Caerphilly Jury has been at the vodka again.

13.5 litres is 2.97 gallons. 120 miles in 2.97 gallons is 40.4mpg

Just loved the bold text - it was the certainty of it that made me laugh

25% approx better with the premium fuel. That's impressive.

For the record, I rarely get less than 140miles on about 13 litres of normal fuel from my supposedly thirsty Hornet

It was Carsick that set me off

I searched around in my bag for my receipts, did my maths (not particularly carefully I admit - rounding up a bit here and down there).

Just on the point of submitting and Carsick admits he's joking.

Then what... Up Pops the Court Jester aka Jabba-the-Hut
