Is this magazine in the shops yet and if so which ones?

I haven't seen it so I wonder if you guys have the early subscriber copies?

It still doesn't have the same low down torque as the SV and needs those gear changes down, which isn't that much of a problem but you'd definitely notice it coming from the SV. Test ride it and see how you get on... and let us know what you thought!

Other problem I've heard of is they rot fast, though have only heard that second hand and not seen it myself.

If you plan to buy one, George White has been advertising them for £3999 (k4 models) lately - check the centre spread in Bikemart that comes with MCN each week. Also got SV's (k4) down for £3999. I'd still go for the SV even when the price is the same...

Now that has suprised me, i thought the build quality was supposed to be good, well better than the SV anyway, i shall have to investigate.
The reason being i fancied something a bit more upright and liked the look of the Z, anyone else heard of a rot problem on the Z then?

spudnuts.

Any idea when this usually hits the shops as I will be wanting a copy to read out of interest?

The Z1000 is meant to be great on build quality, though if you have to shave off a few grand when making the 750 then it has to be done somewhere, and it can't all be done on the suspension and engine... it would make sense for it to be lower quality... but not that low...

The Z750's been getting some terrible reports for localised corrosion... In that review the Z was second, seemed to be mainly let down by its horrific ugliness, some bad details, and a gerabox from hell. The Sv seemed to win mainly because they didn't find anything at all to dislike about it, apart from the riding position.

As for hte cornering thing, it's a load of rubbish... They factored in "emotion" and "expectation", so cruisers could still compete as you'd expect them to not go round bends- oe that turns at all gets a good mark. Terrible filler article IMO. Lots of good stuff in it this month though. Good look at the new Moto Morini for one thing. Mmm. MMMMMmmmmm... Though from the sounds of it it's a disaster, I still want it.
