I know although the Homebase and Argos is very useful

must be nice to live in a crime free area where they can now concentrate on the less important tasks of collecting revenue for the goverment, seeing as all the real criminals are locked away!

IIRC Avon & Somerset constab have an 18% arrest rate i.e. if you commit a crime, then you've got an 82% chance that they'll never touch you for it.

In our local paper the other week Wiltshire constab were praised for being one of the best in the country: 30% arrest rate i.e. if you comit a crime, then there's a 70% chance that they'll never touch you for it. That's supposed to be good FFS?

I thought that the revenue from speed cameras went to that county's police. I could be wrong of course.
