MPG, don't know- I can't think in imperial But with day to day riding I get 120-130 miles to the flashing light. That'll be a wee bit skewed because of the tank spacers, they change where you get the lights coming on. Obviously the way I ride makes a difference, in cold or wet conditions it goes up, if I'm out for fun it goes way down.

I'm pretty sure that would improve if it was actually accurately jetted though It seems like with my mods, typical there-and-back riding gives marginally worse economy than standard, but when given free reign it's a bit thirstier. But then, who ever tuned their SV for economy?

No not at all, I am quite poor really. The bike is running very rich though.

You lknow fine well what I mean, smart**** I think I've got some DJ 146s, 150s and 155s in the garage, those'd probably be more your size if you want to give 'em a crack...

I just found out I already had 170s in, so I've gone up to 175s. Another plus point for Chewy's excellent tank spacers, they make it easy to diagnose jetting issues. Bike runs rough with the spacers in, runs fine with them out, must be lean. Sorted...

The Viper exhaust may be a Viper can on another aftermarket system, headers and collector look same as a Micron set i had for a pointy SV. I bought it as a Viper full system off e-bay. Either way it does all the usual - great sound, sets car alarms, off annoys the neighbours etc etc. Ill post some pics if i can work out how so you can let me know what you think.
Thanks - Rich

Kool, yeah I have a feeling viper only do slipons so may be that with different pipes. Either way the vipers sound lovely and **** people off, just remember to change up a gear or slip the clutch in when passing coppers

If you still have them come warmer times I might just take you up on that.

I was out this morning overhauling the front brakes in preparation for the winter onslaught, and it was brass monkeys. Don't really fancy doing a fiddly thing like changing the jets in this weather. Although I guess I could wheel the bike through the patio doors and do the work in the front room "again".

If anyone has any jets and/or a filter then I would be interested in buying them. Also I'm a little unsure about cutting the rev limiter wires after the postings about them, it definately holds it back in second - catches you out a little after opening it up in first.
