A good car clean is well over £12 too, boss pays a basic £40 for a good wash and wax but a REAL good clean should in theory run into the hundred(s).
To answer your other question i've spent 4+ hours without removing the rear wheel... i think it's all the rideouts with jonboy over the summer ![]() |

i'd say 3 to 4 hours would give a decent clean and i would want to charge about £30 for that

i think about 10 -15 quid an hour is about right for a GOODjob...thats what i would expect, and willingly pay .if its too cheap(15quid or so) how good can it be .honestly i think theres a gap in the market here ...how many cleaners (bikes of course) does anyone know of ?????i dont know any .....most bike riders are a bit fussy over their bike ,so it would have to b looked after/done prop

![]() Maybe you should think of having a couple or so different levels. Basic , intermediate , deluxe and the full monty ![]() Personally I'll happily pay you £30(even more) to spend 4 hours on my bike. Mega value in my book. Cheers Ben |

Salt isn't abrasive, it dissolves in the washing water so it won't be - well you could throw lumps of salt at your bike I suppose, that'd damage it - anyway the problem with salt is that it is corrosive, but even then as long as you adequately rinse it afterwards you can happily use washing up liquid for cleaning your bike*, if you don't let it remain on your bike after washing it can't do any harm.
*The thing is other cleaners are just better for the job, and not dear either.
