Hey Tricky...
Would you mind posting up your feelings on you new lines after you fit them? (I am just considering whether they are worth the money or not... ) Many thankings. ![]() |

Dude im racing a curvy using STOCK lines and origonally with all origonal calipers/master.
I've been outbraking guys with braided lines and 4 piston calipers. My opinion is you're better putting ya time into setting up the calipers/disks/pads propperly |

So, how do you do that then? Is there any info posted up on some site or other that would give you an idea about what not / to do? (I actually thought that braided lines dont just give you more flat out braking power, they also give more braking modulation and feedback over whats going on at the business end of the brakes.) |

The 3rd line supposedly balances out the pressures in the lines.
I have fitted 3 lines but only as I got them made from a local dealer for £10 per length. (Most MX shops will make them up) I could feel the difference straight away, OE hoses will expand when fluid is pushed through them, braided will not expand as much if any. Hence a stronger feel to the brakes with better response etc. Hope this helps JB68 |

The reason I'm putting braided hoses on is because I'm going to give the old girl a good service before the summer.
Service schedule says new brake lines after 4 years, bikes 4 years old, may as well put some better ones on. |
