I know you are only joking ed, there is no way you would really like to ride mine after your hairnet, and i promised your other half not to let you on it in case you actually liked it and wanted one.

You're right of course, a hairnet is an altogether superior beast, and as for that ugly can on yours, well I think they take them FOC out of sympathy up the recycling centre

Ouch, how cruel, this is not the way to get a ride on such a bike, if i let you av a go you must first get on your knees in front of it at the rideout, in full view of everyone and apologise for your statementas to the ugliness of the can, which hopefully will be sitting in the garage by then.

Daryl.

I was bored and also quite drunk the other night SOOO I have taken it apart and took the undertray out. Last night on the way home from work I went to Halford and Focus to buy some sand paper junior hacksaw blades and spray cans of primer, colour and laquer.

If you look at the side on picture you can see the big plastic bit where my plate is.... Well it's not there anymore, I hacked it off smoothed (half r'sed job) it over with two rough then fine sandpaper.

Then a couple of layers or primer were added, then a layer of colour, then left for a while did the second layer of colour and yep you guessed it....

WRONG BLOODY COLOUR

Wrong colour by miles... Back to Halfords tonight for another can. I hope this is worth it because I don't have £250 for a new undertray

I found that I got a neater finish when I cut my undertray doing the final cut with a stanley knife, you might go through a couple of blades but you don't get any of those burred edges.

Hope you can salvage the undertray though mate. If you can't colour match it, play it safe and go black you should get away with it.

Cheers mate, I THINK it's going to look good, I'll hopefully have it put together agin tonight if I pull a late one.

I know what you mean about the stanley knife but I used a junior hacksaw blade myself and then sanded it down.

Don't get me wrong, this wa not done to perfection, it is a majorly rushed job but I can refine it and do it properly in a couple weeks. I just got bored and drunk the other then my bike was apart in the garage... Oooops, so I've banged through it. I'llpost the pics and see what you all think
