If I got full lock on the SV and go slowly, I'll start toppling and have to put my feet down

I'm the same as you FreshAl, dont need to do it in my daily riding but wanna be able to do it cos its just another thing to master on the bike.

Its hard at full lock but possible as long as you dont go too slow Honestly, i find if its too slow, like others have said, it topples and i have to touch down a toe.

I tried doing left u turns for a while too, just cos i was frustrated with the 'normal' clockwise direction. That also helped i founf, diffrent way of balancing your self etc.

Agreed. Currently teaching someone to ride a bike and having to do slow speed examples. Doing a U-turn on an SV is easy enough at full lock it's all about slow speed control.

embee . these guys just past their test then

its not about speed as you can see from above clip.

you could rev the **** off the bike if you wanted and control it on the clutch.
dont . if you let the clutch out too quick you will def lose control.

keep the throttle at constant low revs and control the bike by gently dragging the rear break and slipping the clutch. if the bike is struggling, gently increase the revs, slightly less pressure on rear break and still control by slipping the clutch (on and off the biting point).

with practise you will be able to move the bike at a snails pace (as in traffic), and turn with confidence very slowly and with good control. practice me hearties

I can do it on my naked curvy, it's just a question of technique - am I the only one that loves U-turns?

I love all that stuff, I wonder if we could arrange something similar at the camp site at AR06? Anyone up for a challenge?

I find it so much easier to make a TL crawl along than the SV. It just feals much more planted, prob because its heavier. Shame i dont have one though.
