like my instructor was saying, they're there to ensure you are safe and competent on the road, not to rip you to peices.

I remember on my driving test, forgot to indicate on the last roundabout next to the test centre... examiner made a noise a bit like "coughsplutterINDICATEcoughsplerg" so i did, and passed. EDIT: can't do that on a bike though

Glade...........

..........remember to look WHERE YOU WANT TO GO for the U-Turn and NOT at the tarmac under the front wheel - you'll go where you look.

This is what most people fail on.

Good luck mate.

Good Luck Mate!

Calm and relaxed should do the job.

My test was strange,

The examiner was in a car, because he had dropped his bike.

About 5 min in I got a fly in my eye and had to stop.
Got the examiner to fish it out!

Later the examiner shot past me in his car and flagged me down.
Thought I must have done something seriously wrong!

Turned out his radio batteries had failed

He asked me just to ride back to the test centre.
I didnt know the way and had to pull up twice to get directions.

When we got back to the test center the guy just acted like it was a normal day asked the questions, told me i had passed.

Wasnt until after that he told me about the drop!
Had a good laught before he went to get his next victim!

Good advice on the U-turn mate, took me a few attempts to master that, my instructor kept me at it, so much so that I acutally still keep a lttle practice on U-turns in a local car park for fun (when no-ne is arround) can happily say I can do a U-turn on my K5 S with full lock and without a worry.

Mind you its rare I have to do one on the road

Cheers

Rich

Good Luck. But remember if you dont pass this time it isnt the end of the world. A lot of people get nervous because in the back of their mind they get convinced that if they dont pass first time they will never pass. This is of course absolute ******** but we all think like that.

The best bit of advice I got given was treat it as a ride out and remember you can have quite a few minors and still pass (think the limits 16??) So if do make a mistake, dont worry about, you cant change it so enjoy the rest of the ride. The examiner is not looking for the perfect ride, all he wants to see is a safe and observant one. dont be put off by getting a minor and end up committing a major. A good example of this is hesitancy. being hesitant is a minor and you can do this twice. If you try and go because you dont want a minor but you instructor thinks you shouldnt have gone then thats a major.

Im rambling now aren't I........ you'll **** it

Tragedy! I had a dog of a morning... did about 5 u-turns wrong in a row Knocked the confidence a bit.

Went off for a ride about then went back and did more, they were ok...

Test is at 0930 tomorrow so taking time to chill out tonight. Gonna try to just ride nice and relaxed... i think my observation will be ok. Heres to looking up the road not at the tarmac... kerb bad, horizon good!
