Strathearn Tyres are often recommended (never used them myself).

See the SV Ecosse Contacts sticky.

I think Alvins were £175 for the pair, ride-in-ride-out. Not particularily cheap, but not bad either. As usual, if you want dirt cheap, look eslewhere, but if you want it done right, they're not a bad bet.

If you can get somewhere that will fit and balance tyres you supply, then try Crossan. Free 24Hr delivery. I have used them several times.

Pair of Sportec M1 for £139, or your Z6's are £159.

Strathearns a bit away and given how cold it is and how square the back tyre is looking i dont think its viable

Serves me right for not getting it done just before the crappy weather kicked in

Alvins quoted me 200 quid for ride in / out for z6's !!

Ooh, not so good. Specially in off-season, their workshop won't be exactly rammed...

Have you tried Scott Murray motorcycles in Dunfermline. http://www.alex-scott.co.uk/smm/hiband-index.htm. I have used them a few times and have found them to be OK. Friendly staff and the price for the tyres woz OK. In fact I just used them for a service and they only charged £80.

Yeah scott murray's 2 secs from the door!
still quoted 200 quid all in! plus they said it would be to book it
i have to wait 2 weeks to get em done.

i'm gonna see how the weather is on saturday and gamble wether to go to crieff brrrrr!
or got to alvins - failing that what the heck i'll book it with scott as the next 2 weeks are still gonna be chilly and its the motor show next week so i wouldnt take the bike out probably anyways! until its done - im just being over anxious!

btw nice link on ebay for those stands! - maybe next time ill be able to get the tyres myself and take the wheels off and just get someone to slap em on and refit the wheels myself!
(notes as a summer learning job)

Good luck fella,

Paddock stands are definetly one of the best things you can get for your bike, its like an investment or summit!

Centre stands eh? Remember them?

Used to get my tyres at National. You need to use their equipment to take off the wheels. The guys always dug in tho' and gave us a hand, a change from working on tin cans all day! After a few months you'll be king spannerman.
