So, he has a damper on it there, has he?

Northwind, this is a long shot, I think it was you that posted up a pic of a streetfightered bike, might have been dark green, heavily modded, (your ?) comment was something like "gives us all something to aim at" or "gives me inspiration" or something. The bike was inside a garage by the looks of things.
Any idea what I am talking about ?

Was it a while back? Probably the orange Motomorphic SV...

Ha-ha. Got you all scratching your heads then! Northy, I hate standard anything. There's nothing I don't consider altering to suit me.

Twas once faired, twice binned.

The rad has had it's lugs chopped off, and a naked stainless doofer on there with zip-ties. I don't like it really, would rather a black one just covering the fins, but the original mudguard got punted up into the fins in the last off, not enough to burst it tho, so just needed covering up as it's a bit more vulnerable to stones I'd think.

The muddie is one off ebay, fiberglass with extended legs, but they looked too long so I chopped 'em back a bit. Looks more gsxr styled like this. Those lights are standard 'fighter twinspots with my own alloy brackets. The side-by-side look just didn't suit the slimness of an SV, in my eyes.

As for wiring, what a massive P.I.T.A.! I have not chopped anything back yet, it's all crammed in around the lower half of the airbox. From past experience, 6yr old suzuki wires seem to hate solder, so I'm dreading this job. That's why the barrel got moved, one less harness to suss out.

The brakelines are the standard faired HEL ones, a bit too short, so that's on the to-do list along with naked control cables.

I think your bike looks mint ! Very distinctive, I really like the stacked headlights, they grew on me straight away !

Well done, I bet the end result is very satisying.
