Yeah the m11/a14 is terrible for getting blown about on a windy day..

Sunday night coming back down the m1 in the rain and wind wasn't too pleasant either

m2 bridge across the river medway
never ever ride 'cross it when its windy because nearly got slamed into hard shoulder barrier from 2nd lane a year ago..quite scary
wind round here at the momment is very gusty so take the long route home
still...more time spent riding bike

Odd, was fine tonight despite all the very strong gusting. But I did spend last night reading articles on visordown in the survival skills section from the advanced instructor of things to help in those circumstances. Worked a treat by sliding back a little, ducking down a bit and relaxing. Oh and keeping the speed down enough to react to the gusts helped.

Far worse on the M20 in to work today when the high banks just turn the whole thing into one very long wind tunnel.

Wonderful Wallington, work in the Chessington area. Lived round here a about 4-5 years now. Some great roads round past Dorking/Leatherhead into Surrey, luckily being in Ewell you're that bit nearer.

Ride a Blue Faired SV (05), let me know what you ride and I'll keep em peeled for ya.

Red and black '05 R6. Though it's been cold and wet so I've not been out much lately!

Have you been down the other side of Dorking, down the A29 which ends up at Billingshurst area, and then along the A272? Some superb roads down that way... You can do a nice loop which brings you back to the Guildford area and then either straight back up the A3 if time's getting on, or more country roads for a slower ride back!
