mine pops and bangs best in 3rd when you shut the throttle from about 50.

If the bumbling and burbling is definitely not bangs then that is the music that a V twin makes! Lovely!

Its not just V-Twins that burble and pop I scared a few pedestrians on Saturday coming down the revs quickly on the Kwak... exhaust was popping and burbling away when it popped rather loudly...

I thought that the 650 did not have pair but the Thou did? Course I could well be wrong.
