TBH this is a long route and expensive route to go to get your SV forks to work better.

The emmulators and springs option works very well and is alot more simple.
I had ktech emulators as well as heavier springs in my bike.
Various oils, different springs and adjustments where made but they couldn't get the handling to my liking. I had either to much dive under braking so when that was cured I had to much rebound they couldn't find a happy medium.

Cartridges were the next and only option left as they are alot easier to adjust and set up.
They must have been doing something wrong then as the emmulator setup is superb even for the road or 99% of the minitwin field. Possibly a combination of the spacers not being the right length along with air gap and oil set wrongly.

Once thats done right then hey presto!!

Agree - I have Racetech emulators and stock rods (as you are all probably bored of hearing), and the set up works really well.

i'm no light weight.. about 110kgs when suited up.

Thats where the problem arose. To stop dive they used .90 springs but even when using 20wt oil they couldn't get the rebound set.

Dive is down to compression damping and spring weight, but fitting stiffer springs to reduce dive isn't a good idea (i.e. stiffer than ideal - the stock ones are too soft for sure). Think .9 for your weight is probably about right though.

they were left in the very capable hands of Pro link racing, the main Ohlins dealers in ireland. They do the majority of road racers suspensions over here, so believe me they know what they are doing. When they said they couldn't do any better i believed them. so got the cartridges fitted and now all is good
