No it didn't - we have smaller fish to fry right now.
lol, i';m afraid it did get ignored Tricky. Your post if I remember correctly, started to ask the same kind of questions that I too have asked here; people don't seem able to answer these kind of questions, hence it got ignored.

PH - I never pointed out anything remotely similar to what you have accused me of, just pointed out where you were wrong (which you obviously didn't take kindly to) thus you are speaking total Shi'ite

My opinion is that the most attention is being given to these political topics.. all you have to do is look at the amount of pages each one goes to and from what I've read it's just people arguing.

It's bringing my mood down and right now I don't need that.

As soon as one appears to die another takes it's place and for the most part they're all about the war in iraq/terrorism and the results. Somone posts another thread of how it's getting tedious and abracadabra, there's a retort along the same argumentative vein.

I'm not saying these shouldn't be there I'm simply stating I'm BORED with it. I'm tired of seeing political posts hold the top slots.

So go on, rip me and my opinion to shreds. It seems to be the tone on the site lately.

Chief...Based on the premise that I consider you a person of some intelligence.

However you insist on me correcting "my error" Ok, though not directly connected perhaps, events in the likes of Afghanistan and Iraq and potential terrorist attacks in England do have some kind of common thread as far as the authorities are concerned?

It is the same kind of thinking that sees mob law on the streets of towns and cities of England when people seek retribution from other perfectly law abiding people from ethnic backgrounds.

There have also been as many people brain washed by crazed teachings in mosques and in secret meetings, as there have been others polluted by government spin and nonsense produced by the popular press.

Or is my error by using the term "middle east"? It really matters little and as I have already mentioned there are enough intelligent contributors on this forum that would have pointed out my error if they themselves felt that my initial comment was so far off the mark.

At the end of the day the comments I have made are my personal opinions and so how can you or anyone suggest I am wrong?

I tend to ignore these threads / avoid responding (for the majority of the time) because I am too busy at work, working.

To assume that these threads are ignored because individuals are unable to construct decent responses is a bit of a logical leap methinks!

It's the contribution of certain people across a broad range of topics - people like Sid Squid, Jelster, Biggles, Peter Henry, Cloggsy, Rictus, Northwind, Scoobs, TimWilky, RichieNumbers etc, to name but 10 - that attracts a large number of people (particularly young impressionable ones) to the site. These people "join" primarily because they are interested in motorcycling, and the "grandee" contributors have all in some way benefitted them with encouragement or technical advice. They have therefore earned the right to sound off in what ever way they see fit.

But unfortunately, the success of the site brings along other types of people; people who, seeing the rising numbers, regard it as a fertile ground for subverting minds to their own biased political agenda. You can spot them: they cover their tracks by the occasional post on something anodyne - eg "your favourite BBQ recipe" - but they only ever really post on one topic. All they desire is a big audience of malleable minds and when they have raped the site - ie, all the good people have left - they move on. They are the Cyber equivalent of Bottom-trawlers: they fish, they destroy, they leave, they don't care.

I personally can't stand the idea that anything I do might help in some way to increase the audience for these Trolls to work on. This is my last post on sv650.org.

Goodbye.

IM not going to comment whats happening on here as i've not been involved....

But..

I will say.

From using the internet for a good 10 years now, having used many many forums in the last 6-7 years, un-fortunately, they ALWAYS decay into a worse site from when they started.

A Corsa site i used, it used to be full of mature people, really interested in cars, we all used to be really close friends, no bitching etc..

Then those people started to move on and the chavvy boyracer over opinionated types came on. Now its totally ruined, i don't use it anymore and its very rare something interesting comes up. Full of bitchers, moaners, whingers. You can't say anything opinionated without someone having a pop at you simply for having an opinion. If you don't agree with teh "cool" group, you get slated....

And the same can be said for a lot of the other sites i use. Not sure if its just the younger un-educated lot coming through, but over the last few years, every site i've used has got much worse.

I think its just the way things are going.

The ONLY way to cut it out is firmer and harsher administration. But that then of course gets peoples backs up and then these people whinge, so you can't win.

Ban the haters and whingers, its the only way.
