I've had one out for a couple of hours, although I'd agree it's a good looking machine, and feels right for the type, it does have limitations, the handling probably slightly better that the SV's is no match for even a 9 year old Speed triple, and I was a little disappointed, and although it has the bigger engine is still no muscle bike.

I'd probably go for the new scrambler if that was the type I was after, but if you want real handling try a thunderbird sport, same bouncy bits as the speed triple, twin discs, and more power (you also get the triple motor ).

Cheers Mark.

Jay
I'll sell you a 33 bhp kit for your SV cheaper than a new bike!

cant say for the other bikes but i had a fazer f6 or whatever as a loan bike and didnt get on with it at all. no power at all until the top third of the revs then POW. by which time ur wellover the speed limit and ur heads being ripped off (it was a naked). better feel from suspension and brakes than me SV tho.

test ride all the options

Took a bonnie T100 out for a test ride because the Thruxton was not available, quite surprised really, quicker, smother and handled better then i thought it would.

Then i rode the speedmaster which i really liked, the riding position is totally different to anything I'm used to but i really liked it and with the louder pipes it sounded good too. kept grounding the pegs though.

Then the speed triple, what a bike not as intimidating as i thought it would be, quite user friendly really with brill handling, brakes and power sounded cracking too, really impressed with that bike.

I was worried that when i would hop back on the old SV i would be disappointed after riding three spanking new bikes especially when between all three i was out for 4 hours but i was not, i really enjoyed the ride back home, good old sv

If i had to pick one of the three bikes i think it would have to be the speed triple though, pity they don't put the triple engine in the speedmaster, but for now i think i will be sticking with the SV for a while.
