Girls bike or not, it can show up some of these track day heroes. We already know it is built to a budget, and things could be improved quite cheaply. This makes it all so sweeter when you can rub someones nose in it who rides a bum up 600.

My 1000 is not as friendly as the 650 was, although I love it to bits too.

Dont let anyone tell you they are crap, they are a riders bike

bloody hell. I was just there, and they just said exactly that. The lads at the track like them, cause, you can get on it, absolutely flog it out of the corners, learn your lines, drop it, pick it up and keep going. Also, it takes a beating. And, they are handy enough to work on.

So, they are all keen about them. Even in america. Where everything is bigger. And better.
The pretty boys on the Ducs arent best impressed with them though. Specially when i whip past them in traffic with the dirty leathers and scratchy lid, while they gently walk their idleing bike along in line obeying the law. Pussys.

Nah. Its a grand bike. It does the job. Its cheap. You can make it better if you like. You can sell it and buy something faster if you like. Or you can just relax and drive it as is.

Yes, it's funny about the ducati owners. Every one that I have met has not really been a fan. Other bikers think it's great however. Definately greater than the sum of it's parts.

Basically, it's got a good "grin per pound/pony" ratio.

Yeah, the GSXR and R6 boys do think it's a girls bike, and you hardly see them on track days, but then people used to go on about how crap the RF600 was, and in truth who has ridden one? I thought it wasn't bad. A lot of opinions come from deeply flawed bike mags rather than the real world.

I echo everything said on track days. It's got the bottle to run with a lot faster bikes.

I'm over here in the States, and I may be in a niche crowd here at work where there are a LOT of Harley's and huge touring bikes, but most of them say, "What is that a 600? It looks so small!"...a valid comment considering their bikes weigh 400kg each

P.S. As a sidenote, I upgraded from a Kawi Ninja 250, and the SV650S is a dream

Villers, where did you hire your inline six hornet from? Was it the same place you got your sv with only a bit of power from?
