Erm its just based on the multiple of nines.

Think about it... you will always get the same answer...

eg 34 = 3+4 = 7 34 - 7 = 27 = 3 x 9

35 = 3+5 = 8 35 - 8 = 27

36 = 3+6 = 9 36 - 9 = 27

etc

e.g. 85905=9545x9 , 8+5+9+0+5=27, 2+7=9

437589=48621x9, 4+3+7+5+8+9=36, 3+6=9

When you get your symbol come up, if you look at all the other mutiples of 9 i.e 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81 etc you'll see the symbols for those numbers are exactly the same.

Tis the same with the number 3 too.

eg 103 does not divide by 3, but 105 does as it adds up to 6 which is divisible by three.
