get a tyre fitter to do it, rather than a dealer,

dealers are normally very expensive when it comes to things like this, and you should be paying around a tenner for a repair (ride in ride out)

well the cheapest quote i got round here was £25 to £30 for the repair, taking it in tomorrow morning have to get my girl friend to pick me up to take me to work as they want me to leave it there!!.
Oh well the other 2 places i tried charged £33 and £35, and the other 2 wouldn't even do it saying it was bad practise to fix punctures

thanks anyway

Have you considered that slime sutff? You put it in the tyre through the air valve and ride it about to spread it around the tyre. The pressure pushes it through the hole and it hardens in place. Whenever you get another puncture you wont even know it, as the slime will fill it as you ride.

P.S. only about £10 or less

If you use the slime stuff, next time you have your tyres changed the fitter will curse you and may not take as much care with your wheel as you would wish.

Like the others said, get it repaired. Looking at where the nail is in the tyre, you'll be fine.

I have two plugs in my BT014 rear tyre. First one cost £20 ride in, ride out, and that included them removing the wheel.

Last Friday, just before AR06 (phew!) I had a mobile repairer come round and do it for £30 cash (i.e. off the books )

If you can take the wheel off and stick it in the boot of car then it will be cheaper that the above prices.

I've had no problems with any puncture repairs.

Listen to Mogs and his advice about using tyre repair gloop......a last resort IMHO.

^^^ Wot he said. Since the nails not on the edge it should be repairable - if it were near the edge then they probably wouldnt repair it.

So thats 17.5% cheaper than normal then Jabba? tut tut :P

Re the ultraseal, its great in principle but I wont have it put in my tyres again. Really wasnt happy with its effect on the handling of the bike tbh.
