YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE

US gallon = 3.785 litres

UK Gallon = 4.545 litres

1 US gallon = 0.8326738658170578 UK Gallons

No idea what that does to the MPG figures quoted - just thought those in the US might like to be aware

Carry on

Worst full tank to reserve 90 miles (really caining the tits off it)
Best full tank to reserve 130 miles (spirited riding)

MattSV - good highlight of units! Why can't these sorts of things be quoted in litre's per mile or something? Since its litre units used at the pump?

I like the looks of the SV and think I would prefer the 90 degree V-twin engine over an in-line four. I was looking at a used SV650 naked version in the town where I live (Kalamazoo, Michigan), and was allowed to test ride it. I love everything about the bike except that I felt a lot of pressure on my hands and wrists. I have always been accustom to the more up-right riding position of cruisers. I am 64 years old, and not sure if I would get used to the riding position of sport bikes, or if I would have to modify the handle bars, but I am sure that I want a sport bike. I would appreciate any input.
My advice, get used to a real sports bike with clip ons, once your wrists really hurt (or better, you've learnt to keep your elbows bent to ensure you don't put your weight on your wrists, but instead grip more with your knees) then you can enjoy the relative upright position of a Nakid.

K4 SVS, 53mpg best from 100mph motorway riding while restricted. Worst 90 miles to reserve on track day.
