Jeeeze, think I've started something here

Yep, if we could get together kinda soon, we could try and form a kinda "catalyst" and as you guys say, we could post on other forums etc and hopefully gain momentum.

If its a definate goer, I will defo talk to the organisers down south and get their views and hopefully their help and support as well.

So lads and lass's, when should we meet up to discuss then decide the way forward ?

I can manage most nights & weekends, probably a few hours initially would be sufficient to get heads together and formulate a way forward.

Incidentally, was looking at the Draft Proposal for the Scottish Motorcycle Strategy and they do seem to recognise the dangers that diesel spillage causes us peeps on two wheels, they are also aware of the dangers of gravel etc so at least its been noticed (document was proposed in 2004).

Look forward to taking this whole thing forward

cheers guys

Seems like a lot of effort to do the equivilent of going to http://darrenbourne.co.uk/killspills...ontact_us.html

I would have thought an email to someone in advance of the event would have gotten either a good guide to organising it, or even better an invite to meet up with the organisers instead of hoping to get a chance to meet one of 5 people out of 5000.

Still if I was still in Scotland I would ride down from Aberdeen to Glasgow to take part in your event (missed the London one due to work - grrrr)

I am well aware of the website, have been following the progress of it for a couple of years now, was going down for the rally anyway so it was no "effort" at all

With regard to dropping them an email prior to the event, I honestly thought they would have had enough on their hands

Lastly, I am a "do-er", I dont wander aimlessly through life "hoping" to do things or meet people.

Kind regards
Rab
