If you get this any chance of asking them if they'd make up another one to post and take paypal or cheque in post?

Yeah no worries.

I need to go and have a chat to them to see if its possible. I have an idea but it may be sunk because the original fixing point for the brake line is raised above the top surface of the swing arm. As soon as I have the chance, and its dry I will ride over to them and see what can be done.

I would back up waht has been said about the pyramid hugger. Its very nice but the two piece clamp is rubbish.

I have since drilled the bracket and used the existing brake line clip bolt hole to hold it in place. I also used some rubber strips from halford (i think there used for bicycle tyre repairs) to bulk out the clamp so it was firm.

Since then it hasnt moved.

I vote for the Skidmarx one. That's what I've got. It fitted well and has held up over the last year.

I have no idea why pyramid have used a two piece clamp unless they have been lazy and are using an existing design. A single piece would be much better and cheaper too.

The hugger itself is pretty good though.
You forked out for the OEM lowers and OEM seat cowl but skimped on the OEM hugger?

I tried a few and in the end the OEM one was worth every penny £165!!!

I'm selling it now Sonic silver on ebay.

But the moral the OEM fits better and colour matchs 100% worth the extra dosh IMO

At over £100 difference, yes I bloody did!

That £100 bought me a decent chain and ground anchor.

Default hugger

Zedleppelin,
I have a brand new black Ermax hugger for K5/K6 if you want it. Still sealed in its packaging, cost £75. I bought it but am too lazy to fit it. Yours for £55, sir.
Jon.

I dont suppose any of you folk who've done the mounting have pics of the right side? I'm trying to fit one of these buggers on my '02 naked and I'm not finding enough clearance around the brake line (on the 1st gen, the brakes are below the swingarm, so the brake like twists across right at the brake line bracket bolt).

I've posted some pics of where things currently are (stuck) on Flickr: http://flickr.com/photos/stickyc/set...7594435242150/
