I put 1 47T rear on my bike, kept the 15T front. I needed a 112 link, 110 was just a tiny bit too short.
Fuel economy-wise not a huge difference, I still get approximnately 120 miles until the light starts flashing when commuting to work during the week. I don't tend to thrape the nackers off my bike doing that, but it generally involves some dual carriageway riding at 85ish. Revs on my bike are *generally* about 500rpm above the normal "S" setup, but it's useful for those 30 zones as it tends to sit a lot more easily at 30 in 4th when tottling through town. |
