There are, but they are a recent addition and pretty rare.

how much you looking for it northy? i think i need a new card but am not really 100% sure, got some f***ing weird symptoms at the mo with my pc ingame, and i think its the card, but dont want to fork out on a new 1 incase its something else, but that card would do the job perfect as even if i dont need to use it then i can just chuck it into my server that i am putting together!

*puts hand up*

I'd have it for £60.

I'd even collect, thanks to you (you got my bike on the road after all)

EDIT - What are you upgrading to? What do you do with your pc that requires such good graphics.

Now nabbed by Mysteryjimbo.

I don't need a faster card... But I want one Mainly for Oblivion but Total War Medieval 2 is just over the horizon as well... One 7950GT 512mb with a built in Zalman cooler and fan controller on the way, lovely.

You should have gone the 7950GX2 way... twin card, 1 GB ram...

Yes, and a mere £150 more expensive for the cheapest ones Plus, I doubt my 305W PSU could drive one. That's why I'm not getting an X1800XT.

In fact I'm surprised your PSU can drive your system at all. I've had 350W PSUs crap out on me on Pentium4 3.0 CPUs + 6600GT systems before, and yours looks a bit more power hungry... Maybe something to do with current on the different power rails.

Blast.

Don't REALLY need a new card but I'd upgrade if one were cheap enough. I'm running a Radeon X550 128mb PCI-e at the moment with two monitors (although I cant seem to set it up to play a game OVER 2 monitors. Not sure what kind of card I need for that)

The Dell's got a lot bad with it, but the CPU cooler's very efficient and there's no exaggeration at all on the output... One of the guys on Overclockers reckoned that in the real world a 305W Dell PSU is about equal to a 400W aftermarket. 7XXX cards are really low drain too compared with the 6XXXs and pretty much any Radeon, from memory the 7600GT draws about 30% as much power as the X800 did at peak drain, plus the fan's rarely at full whack.

I gather the 2.8ghz Pentium Ds are pretty efficient too compared with a Prescott.

Instigator, I was sorely tempted by the 7900GS on OCUK for £140, with Zalman cooler... Should clock well and it's no slouch standard. 7600's a good card at £100 too.

Yep, I was thinking that about the PSU, there's a lot more to it than announced peak power ratings.

I don't know about the efficiency of the PentiumD, all I know is that it's themal energy dissipation is something around 95W, compared to 80 something for the 3.0 GHz Prescott. maybe that's not too bad, considering there's two cores in the PentiumD, though.
