I wonder if anyone has tried going the other way with an SV to get higher top end, though it'd probably have the acceleration as my Avensis

taking top end and the acceleration differences away, does this mod make a difference to fuel consumption or chain wear? Do you have to buy a new chain because of changing the sprocket?

You only need a new, longer chain if you're adding teeth to the trear sprocket.

I've had a 14 tooth front sprocket on mine for the summer and it's spot on for the roads and speeds that I use everyday.

Where did you get your 14t sprocket from and how much?

This thread has had me thinking a lot last night, so this morning I've been looking at sprockets on t'internet. Renthal do rear sprockets from the usual 44/45 of the s/naked respectively going up to 49 Why the hell would you want a 49 tooth rear on unless you do hill climb or like your rev-limiter?

power wheelies every time?

Derestriction on the cheap? Im sure it would only manage about 35mph!
