answered your pm! re: the price, i got my 2nd hand off the forum actually, so it was only £240 (plus i had to pick up). i think it's around £600 new, but keep looking on ebay, etc, and i think you could find one for a decent price (£300 or less?).
if you get one with a mashed can (and it would be cheaper because of this), i don't think there is any difference between the cans (i have had my can apart to repack, and don't think it's different to an IL4 can, etc), as long as the inlet diameter is the right size. i think it's a choice of 62mm or 54mm? something like that, but you want the smaller size. plenty of cans on ebay!
in fact, i keep meaning to ask akrapovic for a list of which bikes have that size, because i really want one of those new style hexagonal cans - you know, the ones that don't seem to be around very much yet! that style isn't yet officially available for the SV.
