Round here it's the opposite, fog yesterday morning was really thick, couldn't see the car in front properly and yet half the cars I came across had no lights on at all =/ the other half had blinding halogen beams of death on them

Fog lights are good when used properly, okay so the vanishing point today was about 600yrds on the way to work today, but I could see rear fog lights much further away than that.
Don't know about the rest of you, but I don't just watch the vehicle in front of me, so on a day like today fog light = good!
It amazed me that there were people driving along the A13 today without any lights! Very scary people!
Now front fog lights I have a problem with (and not just because I drive a van so only have wing mirrors to rely on). Just because it looks cool to have them on TURN THE F**K**G THINGS OFF WHEN YOU DON'T NEED THEM ON!!!!!!!!!!! How are you supposed to build a picture of what's happening behind you when you've been blinded by a Tw @t with no brain?

I'm glad it's my last day at work till the New Year - getting a little stressed

i drove for a short while in thick fog with no lights on yesterday

my cars light come on automatically when it darkens, so despite the fog it wasn't actually that dark and i've become used to not having to physically activate them . so my car thinks its ok he doesn't need to see but doesn't appreciate the fact people need to see me. a few flashes from other road users put me straight

oops again.

My bikes ones are on by default as soon as the engine is started.

Fog blew a bulb yesterday though as i'd left the bike out.

I feel the need to explain that I was being sarcy! You sound very angry, have a mince pie and a brandy (or is it whiskey?)

Sorry Tomcat - wasn't aimed at you at all! And yes, there will be a few whiskeys, and a few pints sunk over the Christmas period.
