Benefits... Nice big fat tyre. OK, so that might not technically be a benefit if you don't like fat tyres- on paper it's a negative in fact. But, some people like the big tyre, and it looks good. Not for sale just yet though they might be, you never know

21Quest and Billy can tell you more about this, they've both run around with GSXR1100 or B12 wheels, Billy's got one now.

Dead easy to fit- well, can't remember exactly what it calls for, think it's thinning the caliper hanger, and some spacers. I've got the numbers now to figure it out, i think, just not done it yet. 21Quest, again, could probably tell you what's needed but I figure on doing it with replacement bearings and spacers rather than the traditional big captive spacer through the middle.

You know what I'm like, remind me from time to time If I do go with the B12 wheel myself, I might get some more kits made up to fit it, I spoke to a couple of machining places that discount for over 10 of each item so I might see how that works out...

Your bathroom scale ain't too far off as with my super duper accurate digital scale, the SV weighs in at 5.82kg.

Yep, it's pretty straight forward. Hardest thing is actually getting a wheel. Probably still go with captive spacers

I didn't have an exact spec so I couldn't get a price... If I get my act together tomorrow I might be ready to go- as Ben knows I've been sitting on this for months now and never done anything about it, but my rear tyre and chain are both on their way out and I don't want to replace them with SV fitment if I can help it.

Am pretty sure you could get 10 people willing to put orders down Northy. I'd be one of them. Might not have an sv650 for a while but if the opportunity came up, I'd sure want a set for the time I get my next sv.

Since SVRash asked a sensible question... You need a complete Bandit 12 wheel, and the sprockets aren't compatible- discs are though. The sprockets are a sod actually, very hard to find anything but a 530 in Bandit sizes- though on the plus side they use the same chain and gearing as the SV-N does, so that's easy. The OE sprocket could be used to deflect missiles, mind... Billy got Renthal to make a custom 525 one, which is exactly what I'd do as well, but you could just use any 530 and probably feel no difference...

I'll post up when I get prices for the kits- but tbh it could be some time, I'm not a fast operator. You'd still need to thin your own caliper hanger, though I could probably do some by exchange- I'd have to charge for it since I'd need to buy a bigger angle grinder to do it well. It'd be much better done in a milling machine, but I don't have one of those (I really want one, and a lathe, but I can't afford it. Someone buy me one and I'll make you things with it)

Or possibly, if people want a true drop-in kit I could do something with the other spacer, not sure. What I'll definately do is post up the numbers here so that people can get their own, if they want.
