Mine's next to a coal bunker in the side alley by my Bro's flat (next door)- once bitten and I reckon it's parked along the direction of wind and leaning toward the bunker- it'd take a HELL of a gust to do any damage there I reckon (hope!). His bike's parked in an alcove next to said bunker, so well out of the main gust path.

I'm seriously considering getting the train to work tomorrow- this is my first proper week riding to work and even the light winds this morning on the A3 were a bit disconcerting. Mind you so was the traffic - Weybridge was absolutely jammed right through from the Painshill Jn to the M25 J11 (apparently due to an accident on said Motorway). With my limited filtering skills/confidence/experience, it took me an hour to go 9 miles.

Even on a bike, Weybridge sucks!

weybridge you say, i grew up in west byfleet but getting back to the topic.

if your bike has carbs laying it down will (if your lucky) keep the petrol inside the carbs. if your unlucky, you will come out in the morning to a stentch of petrol all arround your pride and joy, an empty fuel tank and my personal fav a ruined paint job

basicly dont lay the bike down

Hey, thanks you guys for the wise words.

I've lashed the bike to the missus..... 's car! Bungee passed around the yoke, secured inside the boot, boot shut and locked. Bungee pulled taught of course to take up slack.

It will now either fall into the car, but it's only half an inch off so that's no worries. Or it will pull against the bungee. Hope it's strong enough. Having said that, the bike is so close up against the back of the car that it will get a lot of shelter.

Honestly! Anyone would think that a hurricane was coming! Paranoia has taken hold!
