Hello peeps, tvm for views. I decided in the end to do a low key approach. Spoke to them each individually to say I know there's an issue, although it does seem to be improving, I'm not blaming anyyone nor getting directly involved (unless I need to) but the situation is difficult and please can we all get on. Told them that I value each highly and that they do a terrific job, but if we fight we'll never get all the work done. Seemed to go down OK.

Okay, try this, start a conversation on a subject that both of these woman have an understanding (woman stuff ... ironing, washing), but make sure your argument has gapping holes the size of China in it. What will happen is, they will both forget their disagreement, gang up (they're very good at this) and start arguing with you. When the mocking of you has stopped and their laughter has died down, they,ll be the best of friends again and talking about shopping.

Problem solved.

Of course, you could start a conversation discussing the feasibilty of an aeroplane taking off from a treadmill, but the chances are you'll be bludgeoned to death.
