To be fair, the pillion seat mounting points are pretty solid. The only thing to watch when strapping stuff under it is that you don't foul the latch, or worse still the lock release.

Don't know if this works if you don't have a tail tidy but I get hooks under here:

Either that or just hook them together under the undertray (ariba! )
