Seeing a pic of the 07 CBR600RR is what made me book my DAS!

I've sat on one in the dealers and it was quite high, was almost on tip toes. Can get my feet flat on the floor on my SV.

I'm sure it will put a BIG smile on your face! Let us know how it rides.

i'm 6'2" and it felt tiny! head was in front of the screen! has more torque than an sv too 87mph in first gear sounds a bit daunting.

It will be a lot easier to ride than the SV so no need to worry. As others have said they are pussy cats.

That gearing does seem excessive... My 636 would just about knock 70 in 1st and that was with a beefy motor.

In reality I never really took mine to the red line in first cos you would be closing the throttle to keep the front down so I used to short shift into 2nd. In 2nd you can hold them on full throttle to the red line and as long as you lean over the front it will just about stay down. This should definitely be the case if the gears are that long so nothing to worry about.

So find a dual carriageway, hook 2nd and pin it. Maybe try it in 3rd first so that you get used to the warp speed - I am assuming from the way you are speaking that you haven't ridden anything that quick before.

I love this picture, not so keen on the blue/white paint, the all black and red/black are much better, but the Laser Xitreme 3 pipe exhaust finises it off so well...

Ugh I hate them exhausts. Reminds me of the ones on those MV Augustas and they ruin what would be a lovely looking bike.

Still, eye of the beholder and all that!

Insurance excess is probably a grand for your test ride so do be careful!
