Hmmm...in that case my money is on the wiring harness fault. Just rumaging about in the right area can be enough to clear the fault. Try wrapping lots of insulation tape around the trouble spot to be on the safe side.

cheers buddy, im sure il incouter this problem again at some point but so long as a quick fiddle with the wires sorts it im kinda happy. i missed my bike loads and i was only on the bandit for 1 day!
