Mine's still got life in it yet. Just shy of 20k in 9months. It's almost constantly fed oil from my chain throwing it around.

Yup, that's the 207/208's for ya. I discovered mine doing that last April in France....
By the time I got to Barcelona and back to Andorra it was more shagged.

May I recommend the Avon av-26 sports tourers to you?
I used 5 pairs of 207/208's...loved them, great tyres. Just wear out too quickly for my liking and commute.
I was getting 4-4.5k kms out of em. I've had the Avon's on for the last 6/7k kms and they're just needing replacing now.

Considering they cost in about the same, are dual compound, and have given me absolutely no reason for worry,dry or wet I'll be sticking with the Avon's from now on.
