Breakdown cover - which?

Yes, we're insured through Footman James, and get full UK and European breakdown and recovery included. We've had to use them once after a puncture, and they were excellent. No quibbles, recovered home without a problem.

Yes, it seems that if you get AA cover WITH your insurance, then you won't have a problem as I think they will just bill your insurance company. If you have stand alone AA cover, then they will just tell you to contact your insurance company if you have an accident. We witnessed this last year. Poor old chap, been a member since 1956, had an accident that wasn't his fault, called the AA only to be informed that they won't recover after accidents.

If you ever watch their adverts they very carefullly don't mention accident recovery!
