Test runs over, pulls clean, sounds a bit more baritone, not past 7000 rpms yet , had some hassle with water in the fuel, drained the float bowls 3 times and chucked some wynns dry fuel in.
No reply from YPE e mail. I will phone them.
I cant tell if the power is improved , a bit torquier , the engine "feels " sharper and power seems to build a little earlier from 4,500 , like my old BSA twin with the Spitfire cam.
Awafuran MOT now.

MOTd and now its raining,
drained the carbs another twice , now have permanent drain lines fitted to save grief.
One wee blast past 7000 and all going well.
Will dump this fuel if another can of Wynns doesnt wotk, all its done so far is change the water to milk to make it easier to spot?
So far well pleased with the cam swap. No funny noises and no funny carb issues yet , apart from the water .
So far Id rate this mod a good thing, now for a radial front master cylinder.
Cheers

Yeah, definately a good thing IMO, I was looking for a downside so I wouldn't sound like a fanboy

Above 7 grand is where the cams really make a difference. Get it up there and enjoy!

Well, its lashed down since the bike got taxed and tested, so no more stravaigs , and now Im on Night shift, bugger.
However , I called YPE , had a chat with the nice man, and am booked for a DYno run Tuesday 29 th 01:30.
YPE is pretty much a one man band , dont bother e mailing , too busy.
Ill head over 28 th and stay at a friends in the Haymarket,
Northy, any chance of a meet up in auld Reekie , Monday 28th, for a small libation and chat about jetting?

Em, not sure... I think I might be away out on the monday, need to check that. YPE are a pretty small operation- though they've got loads of cool toys If you get a chance, have a wee wander around the unit while they're setting up, it's great, skeletons of long-dead racebikes everywhere.

Default Dyno graph 1 27th May

Have a look at this, what do you think, bike has std carbs and twin pipes.
Next size up mains or what?

The bike got a good run over , very perky , I like it.
Carbs were balanced the day before the run, (werent out at all after 30, 000 miles).
Sounds a bit more interesting but still quiet on stock cans.
Cheers

This graph is from the same session.
Interesting to see the differences between a tro the grears run and a single gear run.

Thumbs up Re: link for air fuel run

YPE were great, the weather was cold and wet and I got well cooled on the way home.
charged a reasonable £30 for the runs, Im happy that the thing runs well and isnt dangerously weak anywhere.
Will try out new mains/ pilots/ needle settings that the forum suggests tho.
Cheers
