Put a bike cover over your bike, then they cant get your plate. Sure I read in MCN they cant touch your property to get the reg plate. And if they did you could claim they damaged your bike whilst removing stuff that they shouldnt have even been touching.

![]() What gets me, is the fact that it's been parked there every day Mon-Fri for the last 10months, and nothing happened. No tickets at all. Then the other day we both get one ![]() Cheers though. |

Have fun, been a long time since I rode in Nottingham (before the tram went in), but it always struck me as being *relatively* bike friendly. Plenty of thieving scrotes around though so pay attention to security
![]() Oh, and there used to be a little bike park (a 50 yard narrow alley really) just to the right of Vic Centre (as you look at the main entrance) - had two thefts from there so try to keep it near the mouth of the alley if you can ![]() |

My office is in wilford on the outskirts of the city centre, and 50% of the office car park is filled with cars worth over £70k as most of the top guy work from here. So security is good and i can see where i have parked from my office window.

Well I did my first commute on the GSXR this week. It took slightly longer than I would do it in the car.
First 80 miles Preston - Cannock was slower as I do not like motorway riding, probably averaged about 80-90 whereas in the car I would be 90-100. Then I took the A5 over to Rugby. That was definitely faster than driving it. However at the time of day I would have used the M6 Toll and M6 to Rugby which would have been quicker anyway. Coming back was a blessing. Filtered through about 5 miles of traffic near the Thelwall viaduct. Conclusion. Bikes are for playing. I had to leave my laptop behind etc. Cars are for commuting large distances. Having to get changed in a grotty toilet. lug my leathers/lid/boots to 3 different meeting etc. Worrying about the security of the bike doesn't make the day any easier
