I'm sure you can find your way from Dundee to the A7, down that to Longtown, left to Alston, B6277 to Barnard Castle, pick up A66 to Scotch corner then A1 to A14, pick up the A1198/A10 to M25/M20 to Dover
Has only added 20 miles to the journey but has also added an hour n a half to the time taken, this wont include stops/traffic etc. There aren't many fun routes from SC to the M25 unless you want to add real time to the journey though there are one or two minor roads running down the side of the A1, look on a good scale map, but some of these go through villages etc so will slow progress down a bit Overall journey time will probably be 10 hours plus, by the time you get south of Dartford you may not be in the mood for a twisty route but if time allows and you still want to play the A20 (runs almost alongside M20) can be fun but rejoin the M20 to go round Maidstone then off again on A20 |
