AA and RAC route planners (www.theaa.com and www.rac.co.uk) and compare the results.

Tried both of those in the past. I now use this instead!

Just been spending a few really fun hours plotting routes for our Austria trip

I really like the selection of route options it gives you...............we've gone for the 'Pleasant' option every time, and they tend to avoid all boring motorways

I not needing use route planner. i think it usual not get lost on my weekend ride outs.

OK tried MS Autoroute 2007 and MS Mappoint 2006 and they look the same

So went with Autoroute 2007 for the time being

Does Google do anything that's not web based?

Ok can someone please explain a good one to use that answers the question.
I can use them all to get from point A to point B (some can even do via point C)
But what can you use to plan a route from point A to point A via 10 or 20 different points i.e. a circular route of your choice. Especially if you can just point to way points on a map?
