dont try to be rossi just hang off like a prat as far as you can without falling off, like i said at the start of this thread i found i didnt need to lean the bike right over like i had been doing. i could never do it on stock OE 650s tyres tho, the sv1000s has pilot sports on.

neat

It is hard to get your LEFT down on the road as UK roads are not conducive, but still try and mirror what you are doing on the right as it is good practice to be getting off the bike rather than leaning it at silly angles , you never know one day it might just happen!!

The only other way to practice lefts is round a supermarket carpark on a Sunday after they shut

I've only done it on track as our roads are too slippery to do it on them. The trick is to have your inside leg free-floating, without any real pressure on the peg. All your weight must be on your a*se and the outside leg. Then just let the inside fall as much as you can inside the turn.

There must be also no weight on the clip-ons as this is not only a general riding error with a multitude of bad side-effects but eventually won't allow you to keep your inside leg as free as you could.

I wouldn't say that is the definitive answer... for instance you can actually help steer the bike if you put weight on the inside peg

But whatever works for the individual .. you only have to look at the variety of styles in motoGP to see there is no 'ONE' way
