This oil stuff sounds like trouble. I think it's best I leave it out of my bike. That'll save changeing it every couple of hours incase it goes off.

Seriously though, different bikes/manufacters give different limits for a reason. Because each engine is different, revs differently, wears in different ways, uses an ammount of oil, longer oil paths, different ammounts of heat, etc, etc.

Example:
Suzuki SV Engine - Service interval ~4k miles
Triumph Speed Triple - Service Interval ~6k miles
Kwak Z1000, - 6k/km (about 4k miles)

Can't beat a 2-stroke for oil changes Sid! I used to have to fill up my RD400 for a ride to the seaside then again for the ride home!

My mum changed the oil a few weeks ago, the old stuff was a horrible colour and full of lumps. Chips taste much better now the new stuff's in.
