Cheers all!!
Just as a matter of interest the road attacks are indeed cheaper in the first instance, however Z6's give slightly more mileage (12-14k) which makes them the cheaper option in the end. Although of course people tend to not look that far ahead.

Cheers Mark.

only used 7 pairs myself, the forerunner to the Avon ST's these being Azaro II's sport tourer tyres, no longer cutting edge, but a good alrounder, rear is good for around 8k or so, the only thing I'd caution on would be the variable sidewall banding, this gives the tyres a lot of feedback which most people aren't keen on, my tyre of choice before the Z6 came out.

Cheers Mark.

I am having a set of Pilot Road 2s fitted this week. Have only heard good things about them.

Feedback? Do you mean the sidewalls are a bit floppy?

No I mean they tighten up as you reach the limit, giving you a brilliant guide to how far to push the tyre, or for the less expieranced they fell all "wobbley" going into corners.

Cheers Mark.

the av49/50 were the softer sport compound, less mielage, but a bit more grip.
