I get eaten loads too. It's meant to be people with fast metabolisms kicking out loads of Co2 that they love. I tried every product under the sun and none really worked....except citronella oil. If you're camping you can use this instead of paraffin oil. Otherwise get a spray for your skin

well I've heard that it's high levels of potassium that make you attractive to the little bleeders. Avoid things like bananas and tomatoes, worked for me (or seemed to). On camping trips, it always seems to be the veggies that get bitten the most as well.

I usually get bitten, which isn't nice as I react badly and the wounds swell up, but citronella candles or those mozzie coil smoky thingies work.

I got 117 midge bites on my legs a few weeks ago in Wales, I was in agony. High DEET spray for me, I believe in science rather than quackery!

I find that even the 100% deet doesn't work at all. Presumably that's why it's only sold in pharmacies and airports in britain!
